“Best Practices” are defined as something that your association or individual team does to make the players, officials, coaches and volunteers of your local Minor Hockey Association (MHA) stronger.

Does your MHA host skill development clinics? Does your MHA or teams have someone come in to the practices and mentor your coaches? Does your MHA pay for coaches to attend coach development courses?

There are many great “Best Practices” that need to be shared to assist the MHA with recruitment and retention of everyone involved in our game of hockey. Sharing of ideas helps the development of players, volunteers and makes associations stronger.

SHA will feature “Best Practices” weekly on the SHA website www.sha.sk.ca Please send your “Best Practices” submissions to Scott Frizzell, Manager of Hockey Development.
