Qualifications & Knowledge

*Required Qualifications and Knowledge will vary depending on position applicant is applying for

  • Criminal Record Check
  • Coach 1 or 2 Certified
  • Encourage and demonstrate positive leadership      
  • Knowledge and respect of SHA Development Programs & Policies
  • Good communication skills
  • Well organized and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as solo
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (must have own transportation)
  • Attend SHA Training Sessions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Learning Facilitators must have their own laptop
  • Ability to work closely with the SHA Senior Coordinator of High Performance, Hockey Development staff and the Director of Operations
  • Experience as a coach/administrator/player
  • Support Cross-ice and Half-ice initiatives
  • Ability to identify, correct and demonstrate skills
