2019 NHL Draft Sees Seven Saskatchewan Players Selected

Monday, June 24, 2019 - The 2019 NHL Entry Draft took place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. over the weekend. 31 NHL teams selected a total of 217 players over seven (7) rounds of drafting in the NHL’s 57th NHL Draft. We are proud to announce that there were seven (7) Saskatchewan born players selected in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft;

#41 – Kaedan Korczak (D) – Vegas Golden Knights; Kelowna Rockets; Yorkton, Sask.

#75 – Adam Beckman (F) – Minnesota Wild; Spokane Chiefs; Saskatoon, Sask.

#133 – Carson Focht (F) – Vancouver Canucks; Calgary Hitmen; Regina, Sask.

#134 - Harrison Blaisdell (F) - Winnipeg Jets; Chilliwack Chiefs; Regina, Sask.

#147 – Reece Newkirk (F) – New York Islanders; Portland Winterhawks; Moose Jaw, Sask.

#169 – Roddy Ross (G) – Philadelphia Flyers; Seattle Thunderbirds; Meadow Lake, Sask.

#182 – Quinn Schmiemann (D) – Tampa Bay Lightning; Kamloops Blazers; Wilcox, Sask.
