Re: Indoor Arenas
July 6, 2020
As an update, please refer to the Government of Saskatchewan Re-Open Saskatchewan document on the Government of Saskatchewan website www.saskatchewan.ca/re-open . It is updated every Friday.
As you can see within the document, indoor arenas can officially open as of July 6, 2020.
Teams and registered members within the SHA are sanctioned to participate if they adhere to the Guidelines within the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan. Everyone must read and comply with the social distancing wording.
Teams and registered members are allowed up to a maximum of 30 people who can safely socially distance on the ice as well as in dressing rooms, which can be used.
Teams and registered members can proceed to full team practices, and can scrimmage within the team, or establish a mini league under the contact sports guidelines.
Again, make yourself knowledgeable of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Guidelines and strictly adhere to them. Not doing so could put the start of the hockey season in jeopardy! Let us keep everyone in Saskatchewan safe!
We expect to provide another update at the beginning of August following further collaboration with the Provincial Government and the COVID 19 Business Response Team over the month of July.
Enjoy your summer!
