Re: Return to Hockey - Update
Nov. 18th, 2020
As we have heard from the Provincial Government over the past few days, each Provincial Sport Governing Body in the province will be asked what they can do more to assist in preventing the spreading of COVID as we see a dramatic rise in positive cases.
The Return to Hockey Safety Guidelines have been put in place to ensure that we can all enjoy the game of hockey this winter in an environment that is safe as possible.
Please advise your members to follow the guidelines as laid out; be truthful in the pre-event screening process; if they feel ill stay home and isolate; if you have been tested for COVID please isolate and stay home till you get your results; abide by the mandatory mask policy.
We thank all of you for the work you have completed to date, it has been phenomenal! You have all been awesome in the efforts made to ensure Hockey could return.
We are in trying times again and although the Provincial Government does not want to stop Sport and our game, if the amount of cases cannot be contained, we may see a temporary shutdown. However, keep watch to the SHA Website and Social Media sites for any changes to the Return to Hockey Plan in the next week.
