Total of 74 WHL Alumni Born in Saskatchewan Receive Scholarships in 2017-18
Thursday Oct. 26th, 2017 - The Western Hockey League (WHL) announced today a record (364) three-hundred and sixty four scholarships are being accessed in 2017-18. This is up from (355) three-hundred fifty five from one year ago. Of those participating in the WHL Scholarship program, a total of (74) seventy-four scholarships are being utilized by Saskatchewan born players. The University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Sask.) leads all post-secondary institutions with (39) thirty nine WHL scholarships being accessed and of that, (32) thirty-two being Saskatchewan born.
