Re:         Bid to Host 2017-18 SaskFirst Camp

Please accept this letter as an invitation for your Association to apply to become a host community for the 2017-2018 Sask First Saskatchewan Winter Games Program.

  1. Sask First District Camp - Male U14 Saskatchewan Winter Games
  2. Sask First District Camp – Female U15 Saskatchewan Winter Games

The Saskatchewan Winter Games will be held February 18-24, 2018 in North Battleford. The age group classification for hockey to be eligible for participation in the Saskatchewan Winter Games will be: Male players born in the year 2004 (1st year Bantam) – Female players born in the years 2003 & 2004 (1st & 2nd year Bantam). For Saskatchewan Winter Games year, Zones will be considered Districts. There will be 9 Districts competing at the Saskatchewan Winter Games and there will be 9 host communities required for District Camps.

There will be 9 host communities (one in each District) for the Saskatchewan Winter Game District camps. Each community applying will be expected to host the camp for both Male and Females.

Hosting a District Camp is an excellent opportunity for your local association and arena to use these programs for fundraising. Some associations, between ice rental and lunch counter, raise between $5-6000 not counting what the camps bring into the local community, hotels, restaurants and stores. If your Association is interested in hosting one of these events, please consider the following:
