The SaskFirst Female Program is ready to take centre stage this weekend and with that, the Saskatchewan Hockey Association’s Referee’s Division is excited to invite this group of female officials who will be working the U16 and U18 games at the Cooperators Centre.
On the U16 side, which features eight teams and 16 games, the list of officials includes: Anna McCarthy of Wawota, Elizabeth Dornstauder of Regina, Emily Schwab of Regina, Jessica Kolody of Regina, Avery Dudley of Swift Current, Alex Foreman of Caronport, Brooke Patron of Saskatoon, Emma Nutbrown of Saskatoon, Annika Kohlman of Tramping Lake, Macey Levasseur of Edam, Salina Bailey of Debden and Tiffany Brown of Prince Albert.
The veteran crew who will be working the U18 tournament includes Alex Blair from Weyburn, Krista Funke from Regina, Bailey Habscheid from Wymark, Michelle Stapleton from Saskatoon, Brooke Sands from Saskatoon, Jen Busby from Saskatoon, Cianna Lieffers from Saskatoon and Jessica Coleman from Battleford. There are four U18 teams and eight games schedule for the weekend.
The officials will gather Friday afternoon in Regina and the tournaments will wrap up Sunday afternoon after the championship games.
This will be a great opportunity for the up and coming female officials to see some of the province’s elite female officials work games first hand and a great way to wrap up the 2016-17 female hockey season with some high level competition.
