SaskFirst Officials

SHA REFEREE’S DIVISION SASKFIRST BANTAM MALE CAMPS

Regional Camps – December 1-3, 2017

Zones 1 – 4: Lumsden (Accommodations in Regina)

Zones 5 – 8: Warman (Accommodations in Saskatoon)

This camp will provide advanced instruction to assist with the development of young and inexperienced officials and those looking to be exposed to the Saskatchewan Officiating Development Model. There will be several supervisors on hand teaching and evaluating the officials on the ice. Officials attending the camp will receive instruction, both on and off the ice, to enhance their development.

Past camps have proven to be very beneficial for those who have attended. All participants have seen significant progress in their abilities. Some have advanced to where they now officiate in leagues such as Midget AAA, PJHL, SJHL, WHL, and CIS. This could be your opportunity to be identified by key representatives in attendance, as an official with potential to work elite hockey in the future.

Each official attending a Regional Camp will officiate the scrimmages at the camp, receive coaching and instruction from SODM supervisors and Zone Coordinators and receive a t-shirt. Officials will have accommodations provided for the Saturday night, and will also submit an expense form for per diems and mileage expenses. Game fees will not be paid.

By applying to this camp, you are committing to the entire process. Because of this, we ask that you do not accept other game assignments during the Regional Camp weekend. This causes difficulty when creating the schedule and other arrangements. Everyone who applies will attend a Regional Camp.

The Deadline to apply is November 20, 2017

The application fee is $100, and applications are available now.

Direct any questions regarding the camp to Trent Cey 306-789-5101 or TrentC@sha.sk.ca
